This handmade notebook was a collaboration between Frankie Brown and Dapper Notes. Based in Fair Lawn (New Jersey), Dapper Notes are fabric notebooks made by Enon Avital, an artist and stationery craftsperson. I’ve been a fan of Enon’s creations for a few years now, so I was overjoyed when he asked if I wanted to work together.

Notebooks come wrapped in a die-cut embossed cardboard sleeve, and a sticker of ‘Safe Under the Stars’ is included.

  • The linocut featured on the cover was created as part of a personal journey. It’s a multiblock linocut of 4 blocks, with 8 layers of print.

    Together, Enon and I selected the materials to enhance the beauty of the illustration.

    The notebook cover is digitally printed, with the top dark layer screen printed by hand.

    Each book was cut, sewn and trimmed using traditional bookbinding processes by Enon. You can watch Enon’s process here.
